It all started like this.
I just got my university degree in business administration. It is with joy that I announced to my parents that I now a university graduate from Hec Montreal. I specialized in finance, and I got straight A's, which will interest employers to hire me. However, I still have not decided on what field I will start my professional career. Indeed, many choices available to me, I currently hesitate to hold a position as a certified professional accountant, as a broke or to take vacation in Lebanon.
Choice 1: I decided to become a professional accountant.
Choice 2: I decided to become a broker.
Choice 3: I decided to take vacation in Lebanon.
Choice 1.
My father could not be prouder of my career choice. Professional Chartered Accountant! He told me that with this job I will have a future in Canada and that wages were excellent. Then, the prestigious Sleeman brewery had offered me a job in downtown Montreal. On my first day of work, my car refused to start. I didn’t want to leave a bad first impression of me, so I had decided to take the subway because I didn’t want to be late. When I was waiting for the train, the employees of the transportation service announced that there was a slowdown on the line and it would take at least 45 minutes to return to normal. I panicked, so I started to run out to call a taxi. Unfortunately, I had not looked at both sides of the road, and a car had hit me dangerously. I woke up in the hospital and the doctor confirmed that I would be paralyzed for the rest of my life. I passed as a man with a bright future in accounting to a poor man in a wheelchair. The months that came after the accident were very difficult, I even tried to commit suicide. Luckily, my father saved me before I commit this irreparable act. However, I eventually build a close relationship with my father, we were inseparable, and we took care of the other like a real family.

When I was little, I always dreamed of being a broker on Wall Street. This is probably the american cinema that had affected my tiny brain on the decision of my future profession, but I see myself still hold that position. My young child dream was made on October 15, when I received by mail a letter confirming me an internship at the New York Stock Exchange. The letter said that I was distinguished me from other competitors by my academic results and that if I was working effectively, I would have a chance to hold a full-time job. Then, I had headed to New York City having in mind performing at my best. When I arrived in this city, I was impressed by the size of these buildings. The next day began my first day of work at the New York Stock Exchange. My supervisor barely greeted me. He made me sit in a small cubicle and had given me a phone by mentioning that I had to sell assets to most customers possible. The working atmosphere was terrible, all my coworkers yelled on the phone, cigarette in hand hoping to sell goods and make a commission. I had not managed to sell anything, I stressed so much that I was afraid I didn't choose the right career choice. After three days of work, I could not handle it properly, so I decided to end my internship. My supervisor had not even wished good luck for the future. Finally I decided to go to Montreal to continue a life less stressful.

I have not managed to find a job in the business field, so I decided to take time to travel to Lebanon to visit my cousins. When I arrived in Lebanon, I took advantage of my free time going to the beach, dining in great restaurants and visiting medieval castles. Mike my cousin with whom I spent most of my days owned a paint company in London. He then offered me a position as manager because I was the only person who spokes English and especially that it has been more than three months that this position was vacant. At this moment, I realized that speaking English was very beneficial to me! So, I thanked my cousin for this amazing career opportunity and I took a single ticket for London. My main tasks as manager were to find and convince customers to buy my paint brand, to ensure the company's profitability and to take care of administrative tasks related to financial transactions such as budgets and deposits. Employees working for me were very friendly, it fostered an excellent working atmosphere. I especially liked an employee whose name was Sara. One September day, I took a deep breath and I invited her to go out with me. She said yes. The evening was magical, we both fell in love. She later moved into my apartment and I loved spending time with her. Things were becoming more serious, so I decided to marry her after 1 year of relationship. I thanked my cousin over a million times to have changed my life for the better!
